Managing technical artwork, statutory declarations, and multilingual legal copy across hundreds of construction chemical SKUs manually often results in version confusion, lengthy sign-off cycles, and printer error risks.

This project was a core digital transformation initiative: transitioning the organization's entire packaging asset lifecycle onto the cloud-based Karomi Artwork Management Portal.

The Challenge

• Legacy Fragmentation: Artworks, die-lines, and shade cards were archived across local servers and email chains.
• Strict Chemical Labelling Regulations: Globally Harmonised System (GHS) pictograms, hazard warnings, and CPCB EPR registration codes required zero-error compliance on every printed pack.
• Multi-Stakeholder Sign-Offs: Every packaging change required coordinated approvals from Regulatory, Legal, R&D, Marketing, and Quality departments before plant release.

1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Design

• Designed end-to-end test scenarios simulating actual packaging modification workflows: new SKU launch, statutory copy amendments, color-variant rollouts, and supplier print approvals.
• Tested file comparison engines, barcode readers, and text-inspection algorithms embedded within Karomi.

2. Migration & Metadata Architecture

• Structured the central metadata taxonomy (Product Category, Pack Format, Substrate Type, Brand Tier, Print Vendor).
• Verified and migrated over 500 active packaging artworks, ensuring 100% fidelity between approved print proofs and system archives.

3. Change Management & Cross-Functional Training

• Authored standard operating procedures (SOPs) and delivered interactive hands-on training for Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, and external prepress agencies.
